FAQ
How is a word defined?
A word is a run of non-whitespace characters. Hyphenated tokens count as one word. Languages that do not use spaces between words will under-count words and still report accurate character counts.
Are spaces counted?
The character total includes spaces. Separate totals omit spaces and omit all whitespace. Pick the one your form or tweet counter uses.
Is this a grammar checker?
No. It only measures length and structure. It does not suggest edits.
